To successfully manage Pharmacy operations, which includes but is not limited to maximizing gross, margins, ensuring sales production, controlling inventory and expenses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for company assets including receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventory.
- Supervises the accurate and efficient filling and dispensing of all written and oral prescriptions.
- Provides patient consultation/education on all prescriptions.
- Meets minimum standards for patient care.
- Ensures that all pharmacy department associates provide outstanding customer service.
- Recruits, interviews, staffs, manages and develops quality Associates.
- Develops, trains, and daily management of Staff Pharmacists and Technicians.
- Knows and ensures adherence to all third party contracts.
- Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures as well as all federal and state drug laws.
- Actively participates in all store and company wide meetings.
- Develops and maintains a professional and cooperative working relationship with local healthcare providers and store Associates.
- Supports, implements, and is compliant with all corporate programs.
- Stays abreast of changes within the profession of pharmacy. Takes an active role in the future of the profession.
- Completes Pharmacy Associates yearly performance appraisals to enhance development of technicians and pharmacists.

Founders of Niemann Foods -It was 1917 when Ferd Niemann, Sr. and Steve Niemann opened their first grocery store. It took a lot of hard work and progressive thinking, but they succeeded. By 1930, they were operating 10 corner grocery stores and a thriving wholesale business. In 1940 Niemann Foods, Inc. introduced the first full service supermarket to Quincy, Illinois. It is this same hard work and forward thinking that has guided two more generations through steady growth to become the largest independently owned supermarket chain in central Illinois.
Niemann Foods Today - More than 100 grocery, pet food, hardware, pharmacies and gas stations are part of the NFI family and continue to serve their respective communities with a commitment to taking care of their customers. We have 2000 active NFI Associates that have ownership through an employee stock option purchase plan (ESOP). As associate owners there is a much stronger focus on selling fresh product, listening to and responding to customers’ needs and building lasting relationships with courteous service. Compensation - BOE. FT, Hourly position with benefits that include annual wage reviews, medical, dental, prescription and life insurance, paid holidays, vacations. We are an Associate owned company with a retirement plan that includes an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Profit Sharing and 401K
