Licensing
All states license pharmacists. After prospective pharmacists complete the PharmD program, they must pass two exams to become licensed. These exams are the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE) (or a state-specific test on pharmacy law). Prospective pharmacists must also complete a certain number of intern hours, which varies by state.
