Early Detection

Early Detection --> Student Success

Do you have students who are struggling in your course?  Early detection of poor academic performance or other issues can help students be successful!

A proactive approach of communication and collaboration between course coordinators and the Office of Student Affairs can support student success by promptly identifying and addressing issues.

The Office of Student Affairs:

  1. Encourages course coordinators to promptly notify OSA about students struggling in their courses.
  2. Works with students who are struggling to identify ways to assist and support them each of them individually.
  3. Directs students to, and encourage them to use, appropriate college and campus resources.
  4. Facilitates discussion between students and course coordinators regarding the students' struggles.
