Download iCal FileHoward Brown Health is now accepting applications for the 2023 Gregory Shapen Public Health Fellowship, a summer program intended to provide an employment opportunity to six (6) undergraduate students from underrepresented populations, to encourage students to pursue careers in public health or community medicine. Howard Brown Health’s Center for Education Research and Advocacy will offer a community-based comprehensive experience working in an LGBTQ-centric federally qualified health center for future leaders to gain project management skills and professional development.
Each fellow will provide 300 hours of project management over 10 weeks while working with Howard Brown Health mentors. This program is a paid internship at $20/hour. Application submissions opened on February 13th and will close on April 3rd at 5:30 p.m. CST. Fellows will be notified of their acceptance the week of May 1st. The program will begin on June 12th and run until August 18th. This fellowship will be a hybrid working experience, depending on project placement. Students should reach out with accessibility concerns or questions.
