SSM-Health Monroe Clinic is located in Monroe, WI (about 45 minutes south of Madison, WI). It serves the Monroe community as well as surrounding Wisconsin and Illinois counties as a rural hospital and outpatient clinic. Pharmacists at Monroe Clinic practice at the top of their licenses. We work under scopes of practice that allow us to prescribe and manage medications for patients with chronic disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and heart failure. We also provide pharmacogenomic visits and manage anticoagulation, in addition to other services.

Our residency program is ambulatory care focused but provides inpatient and community exposure as well. In addition, there is a wide variety of elective rotations to choose from, including but not limited to primary care, behavioral health, oncology, emergency medicine, and antimicrobial stewardship allowing you to tailor your residency year to your particular interests. Our program has a strong teaching emphasis including a teaching rotation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy in the Pharmacotherapy Lab, precepting opportunities and the option to complete a teaching certificate. As a pharmacy resident at Monroe, you will receive holistic, individualized training that will adequately prepare you to step into any pharmacy role you choose following residency.
