Residency Special Features: MountainView Hospital is a 501-bed acute care facility in Las Vegas, NV and is part of the HCA Healthcare network of hospitals. This program is designed to provide training within a broad range of pharmacy practice settings including ID, neonatal, medical, surgical, and neurosurgical critical care, emergency, internal medicine and oncology amongst others. We strive to help our residents achieve their full potential as clinicians and educators. Residents will work alongside physicians training in residencies and fellowships from 11 specialties from Sunrise Health Graduate Medical Education Consortium. A research project suitable for publication is required. Residents are eligible to apply for the teaching certificate program offered through Roseman University College of Pharmacy.
The PGY-1 pharmacy residency program builds on the foundation of a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree, empowering residents to realize their full potential as clinicians and educators. MountainView Hospital’s PGY-1 residency is designed to offer a comprehensive range of pharmacy experiences, personalized to align with each resident’s unique needs and interests. This goal is achieved through a combination of core learning experiences, elective opportunities, and longitudinal projects that extend throughout the year. Upon completing the program, residents will be eligible for board certification and advanced post-graduate year two (PGY-2) pharmacy residency training.
