Download iCal FileWe are pleased to announce that NorthShore University HealthSystem will have one pharmacy technician resource position available focused on project work centered around regulatory and medication safety related topics. The student will work closely with the Medication Safety Officer, Clinical Pharmacy Managers, and Directors to complete projects. These projects will include but are not limited to gap analyses, performance improvement projects, medication event follow up, clinical and operational audits, testing of medication build in the electronic health record, educational in-services, and drug information responses.
Hours are flexible and will vary based on projects and student availability, typically 8-16 hours per week. Although hours are flexible, at least one day a week must be scheduled on a weekday to allow exposure and collaboration with project preceptors. Student will be based at the Evanston and Glenview campus of NorthShore. However, there may be occasional travel to other NorthShore sites as needed for meetings and specific projects.
Applicant must have a valid pharmacy technician license and be a first year pharmacy student (P1).
Applicants with proficient writing skills, experience in research or project work, and Microsoft Excel experience are encouraged to apply.
