Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHNHRMC) is an 800-bed community teaching hospital, regional referral center, and UNC School of Medicine branch campus. Located in Wilmington, NC, NHNHRMC is a comprehensive stroke and level II trauma center, with its primary service area including the seven-county region of Southeastern North Carolina. The health system includes the main campus, a free-standing emergency department, an orthopedic hospital and numerous outpatient clinics. The main campus includes a 108-bed emergency department, women’s and children’s hospital, a behavioral health hospital, an inpatient rehabilitation, and an ambulatory oncology center. NHNHRMC has 10 pharmacy residents and offers pharmacy residency training programs in the following areas: PGY1 Community-Based (1 position), PGY1 Pharmacy (5 positions), PGY1/ PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration with Masters (1 position PGY1 and 1 position PGY2), PGY2 Ambulatory Care (1 position), and PGY2 Critical Care (1). In addition to the pharmacy residency programs, there are 5 medical residency programs: Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Obstetrics/Gynecology, General Surgery, and Psychiatry.
