The annual stipend for the PGY1 program is $42,167  with financial compensation for staffing in all programs.  Benefits include 11 paid federal holidays, 13 vacation days, leave for appointments and sickness, and access to group health insurance.

This PGY1 residency program offers a well-rounded clinical pharmacy experience in both inpatient and ambulatory care practice areas including: cardiology, diabetes, hematology/oncology, infectious disease/HIV, internal medicine, home based primary care, medical intensive care, primary care, psychiatry, pharmacoeconomics, practice management and rural health.    As adjunct faculty at the UMKC School of Pharmacy, the resident will gain experience in lecture preparation, didactic teaching and precepting of students on site.  A teaching certificate is also available through the UMKC School of Pharmacy.  Our preceptors are residency-trained pharmacists who work cohesively to promote the interests of the residents.  With a variety of experiences available, flexibility is key, and focus is given to each individual resident’s needs.  In each experience, the resident works closely with the residency director and the rotation preceptor to develop goals and objectives that will assist the resident in expanding skills for current and future practice.   This ASHP accredited program has been training residents for over 30 years.
